Introducing the ShoeSelect™  The ShoeSelect™ is designed to store forty-eight pairs of ladies’ shoes utilizing only 2 1/2 by 5 feet of wall space AND it can automatically bring them from the top of your closet down to whatever level you can reach!    The ShoeSelect™ is an electric, motor-driven, vertical carousel.  Each individual shelf has 6 compartments designed to clearly display the shoes to the user.  The unit is designed so that it can be installed with the lowest shelf at a comfortable reachable level thus allowing for maximum use of space. It’s a great way to take advantage of unused storage space toward high ceilings in the bedroom without getting a dangerous and unsightly ladder.     The ShoeSelect™ is available as a closet or cabinet "insert". It comes fully assembled with natural Baltic birch shelves that have a high gloss clear polyurethane finish.  The container is MDF painted black which is then slid into an existing closet system and requires just a few screws to hold the unit in place. The unit must be fully supported at the bottom and cannot be just hung on the wall. It can also be installed in a modular side by side or one on top of each other fashion in order to store hundreds of shoes.     Both automatic and manual models are available.  Automated Shoe Storage

     --- A vertical conveyor or carousel as a storage medium for shoes has many advantages: 

• NO Bending
• NO Stooping 
• NO Stretching
• NO Climbing
• NO getting a ladder 

    Regular stationary storage for shoes is a less than ideal storage solution because usually there are only 2 or 3 shelves that the average person can really get to easily. The rest of the shelves are either hard to see into or they are difficult to reach or both. With automated storage, these problems are solved because the shelves come down or up automatically.  In addition to these benefits, automated shoe storage gives you double the storage capacity of stationary shelves. A Vertical carousel or conveyor has 2 columns of shoes, one behind the other, which means it really is possible to double your storage space.

Installation and operating instructions

   Installation

• The ShoeSelectTM is designed as an insert for a cabinet or closet and may be trimmed or dressed out to match existing wood types and color schemes.
• The unit may be installed  in a closet or anywhere it is properly supported. The Unit is designed to be mounted so that the lowest shelf in the carousel is at a comfortable level  (usually shoulder height).
• The unit must be fully supported at the base with a shelf or platform that is stud mounted into the wall. It may also be placed in a cabinet but it must be supported fully at the base   Unloaded, the unit weighs approximately 170 lbs and fully loaded it weighs approx 270 lbs. THE UNIT IS NOT DESIGNED TO BE HUNG ON THE WALL. IT MUST BE SUPPORTED AT THE BOTTOM BY HAVING THE UNIT REST ON A STRONG SHELF OR PLATFORM.
• After the unit is fully supported at the base it must be attached to the wall or cabinet in the back at the top and at the base to the bottom support as shown. It is NOT necessary to remove any shelves to secure the back or base of the unit. Just make sure that the shelves are positioned out of the way by operating the unit then unplugging from the outlet.  By going thru the front of the unit, attach the back to the wall or cabinet in the area shown using at least 2 wood screws (#10 or greater).  Then attach the base to the bottom support as shown also using at least 2 wood screws (#10 or greater).  DO NOT PLACE SCREWS LOWER THAN 3 INCHES FROM THE TOP OR MORE THAN 3 INCHES FROM THE FRONT OF THE UNIT; OTHERWISE THE SCREW HEAD MAY INTERFERE WITH MOVING SHELVES. 
• For proper operation, the unit MUST remain square after the attachment is complete.
• A cord is supplied with the unit and can be routed out the back or the side.

   Operation

• The ShoeSelectTM is simply operated by pressing and holding the toggle switch in the "up" position to move the shelves up and down for the shelves in front to move down. The toggle switch is a momentary switch that must be held constantly for shelves to move. 
• The unit is designed for ladies shoes up to size 10.  The unit is designed so that the easiest point to place items on the shelf is when the shelf is at its lowest position. This is because at this location the shelves next to the shelf for loading are further away allowing for more access space. -THE UNIT MUST BE IN BALANCE TO OPERATE SMOOTHLY AND SATISFACTORILY.  This means that you cannot have 2 or 3 shelves fully loaded that are all next to each other and the others empty. When loading the unit for the first time make sure the carousel stays in balance, make sure that first shelf is loaded then move the unit and skip 3 shelves and load that shelf next.  Follow this "in balance" approach until all shelves are loaded.

   Final Dressing

• The ShoeSelectTM is designed as an insert and it is available only in standard black. In order for it to look its best, a front panel that matches the rest of your cabinetry and side/bottom trim is recommended. The ShoeSelect can also be installed behind cabinet doors in order to give it a finished look.
• A front panel or apron can be installed directly to the guides with a 1/8 spacer so that the shelves do not make contact as they swing. Matching side trim can be installed over the guides which are 1.5 inches wide as long as cut outs are made for the switch and fuse holder. Plastic laminate or other materials can be used. Trim over the bottom support can also be made.
